DOPPER
7% is not enough

When we heard the EU was coming out with regulations on single-use plastics, we got excited. But then we found out that all global government and industry commitments only reduce the amount of plastic waste leaking into our oceans by... 7%. Wait, what?

That’s like…

Ordering a pizza

and only getting one slice.

WeTransfer only sending

7% of your file.

Which would be absurd.

And is exactly why we united over 15 brands from all different industries in a digital campaign to help us spread the word that #7isnotenough to save our oceans.

Each of our partners highlighted the absurdity of only doing part of their business by 7% in their own creative way.

This was rolled out on their digital platforms including - socials, newsletters & websites - allowing Dopper’s message to reach a wide and brand new audience.

De Speld (aka. The Onion of Holland) was a perfect partner to help spread the word.

Everyone was directed to take action by joining The Dopper Wave, pledging to stop using single-use water bottles - one of the items not in the ban.

And we demanded the EU does the same. Going straight to the European Parliament on behalf of every organisation and individual who joined us.

On November 9, we went to Brussels to deliver a letter with one demand: an EU ban on single-use plastic water bottles. We did this together with the almost 500,000 drops in our Wave and partners who stepped up to fight for cleaner oceans.

This is only the beginning and we won't stop here. Take action and Sign The Pledge
